Before ignoring unnecessary emails and calls with information about real estate, take a quick second to glance at the latest Housing Report from June. At this point, you should know the drill. Snapshot below. Blog. Stats.
In keeping with the concise nature of above and not stealing too much of your remaining summer, there hasn’t been a lot that has changed since the end of June. Affordability remains incredibly difficult (essentially on par with the worst reading in the last 12 months), while prices continue to increase ever so slightly. Remember though…this is not consistent across all price brackets or areas within the metro. That’s a highly significant nugget to keep in mind when assessing your own buying/selling demographic. Correctly managing expectations when venturing into a real estate transaction is vital to keeping the frustration level at bay.
So what’s my tip for this month? GO OUTSIDE! Have you not been catching my subtle messaging?? I am of course kidding, but in all reality, the tip has not really changed from the end of June. Patience continues to matter on multiple fronts and always remember to be smart in your approach. And if you do ever start to feel overwhelmed, go get some ice cream or a slushie. That always makes everyone feel better. 😜
