26 Aug July 2025 Housing Report
Each month Minnesota Realtors puts out a report for the last months housing report sharing stats and updates! The July Housing Report is out and ready for your consumption.
In addition to the State Fair kicking off, this time of year also signifies the unofficial end to summer. The start to school is imminent, and this July Housing Report will be the last before all of the nuggets are back into a routine. Enjoy the snapshot, blog, and stats at your leisure.
Like many prior summer months, I’m going to keep this issue brief to encourage more time outside and less time looking at a screen. Plus, the message is essentially the same. Are rates better? Sure, but not significant enough to have an impact on affordability even with the slight pull back in pricing month over month (year over year still had a 3.1% increase). The story worth watching that we have discussed in the past is the continual increase in overall supply. While I will argue that the inventory is still subpar from a quality standpoint, the fact that not everything is gobbled up immediately should be an encouraging sign towards balance and less chaos. Let’s hope this trend continues as I truly believe this is something that everyone would support.
Anyway, enjoy these final days of August and soak in that sunshine! If you think of it, send me the best (or worst) thing you ate at the Fair and I hope you all have a wonderful end to your summer.
